My name is Ivan Garcia Laverde, im from Colombia, during the last few years i've been studying Systems and Computer Engineering in Los Andes University, of Bogota. I'm 21 years old and i've live all my live here in the capital. I love coding, solving problems and designing things.
I like playing sports, watching films and making money. Normaly I use to work better on nights and at this moment im working on a web app for Los Andes's Register & Admission office. I graduated from Liceo Campo David School, and when I start studying my degree i wasn't sure that this thing was my thing.

About my profile, I'm glad to say that I'm a person that enjoys working on whats matters on is passionate about, I'm a very corious guy and also likes reading a lot and stay most of my time learning new things. Also, sometimes I can be a bit quiet with people, but its because I'm a person that don't develop confidence easily, though don't worry I'm friendly most of the time.
Most of my skills are base on emotional intelligence, and coding. That's because I'm coding most of the time due to my university degree, and (lucky for me) I really enjoy it, I like soo much making things work. Los Andes Univerity has been for short 4 years my home and the place where I came everyday in search of knowledge and new goals. At the moment I'm at seven semester, the next step is over the degree and aply to a professional practice before I graduate. Wish me luck haha.
Liceo Campo David...although it is a severe policts school, it was the best decision that my parents could have made. I got graduated from my school with a first place in the national ICFES test, all my deep gratitude to my schools teachers that participate constantly in the construction of me, and help made me the men I'm today.
No developer can't deny the support of Google and all websites along the Internet, it is a constantly tool when it comes to research about something that you don't know how to program. That's why I consider Google and the self-taugh iniciative one of the most important education foundation in my life.
I'm glad to say that I'm a workaholic, since I started the university, almost every vacations I've get myself with one or another job, sometimes have been a good experience, sometimes have been most a life learn but it has gave me maturity and teach more than just technical things.
I've work two vacation seasons in ITPros S.A.S, a telecomunication consulting company that help other companies to better up their tech infrastructure. There, I help most of all with office small jobs and one or two network configuration in some clients.
One of my vacation seasons I worked at Rappi's central office, answering client telephone requires about their orders... I would be lying if I say that I fully enjoy beeing a Rappi Accelerator. But I met a lot of nice people, I learned to get over extremely stressful situations, and to get in touch nicely with people that I don't even know and it's already angry with me haha.
At los Andes Univerity, I've enjoyed working as a programation leasson Assistant, then developing a student's request aplication for the System & Computation Engineer's Department, and at the moment I'm working at AyR office of the univeristy, helping with code issues along small parts of their system architecture.

Desparche is an app where you can find places to hang out with your friends, the plus of this app compare to anothers is that you sign in a profile and based on your profile the app gives you better recommendations using machine learning algorithms.
At last year's Christmas I worked on the startup Nidoo. It consist on beeing a middleman between people who have free parking lots and people who need them, they rent those parking lots and get a comission for the service. I help to develop small components of the app using Laravel, JQuery & HTML5.
